The most important thing you can do to prepare for starting and operating your own business is planning. Developing a business plan requires a lot of time and energy, but it’s invaluable because it forces you to come to terms with your business idea. You must decide how you will generate income, what your expenses will be, who your competitors are and a lot more. The business plan exists for a reason. There are libraries of books written on them and huge websites devoted to developing good ones. Take a few weeks and develop a strong and thought-out plan. Give it to friends, co-workers, even family to read. Your business will be immeasurably stronger because you took the time for this step.

well helpful infact very much helpful. was confused whther to get into business or try looking out for a job and this helped me decide that i need to find a job.. as of now am not so focused on all these stuff that u talked about…. may be a few years of work and the right contacts(network as ucall it) might help…. nice job guys.. think this i something for ppl like me

I am actually confused! I have this idea for a new firm, and in order to apply for the TBI, I need to prepare this so called “Business Plan”, I have the idea in my mind; but need some guidance to bring it to a document. Is there any books on “how to prepare a business plan” or a sample business plan document?
