Bigwigs in the e-commerce business, Flipkart and Amazon, are eyeing to tap into the government’s biggest buying platform from the country, for purchases. Sources have revealed that both these companies are interested to avail the managed service provider(MSP), against a request for proposal (RFP) by the government. While Flipkart may collaborate with Microsoft for technical assistance, Amazon seems inclined towards its cloud services, after an approval from its US headquarters. Mohit Bahl, partner and retail sector leader at KPMG, India says, “Whichever company gets the contract will add to the country’s largest buyer to its customer base.”
