Startup India Summit begins in UAE on Tuesday

In a historic move, the Consulate General of India (CGI) holds its first two-day ‘Startup Summit’ in the UAE on Tuesday. The event is organised by CGI in partnership with iSPIRIT, a non-profit organisation, supported by TiE, Dubai. It aims to provide a transparency in the startup ecosystem, across India and the UAE for exchange of ideas, collaborations, communication with academia and ample funds from the kitty of venture capitalists based in the UAE.

Vipul, Consul General of India, Dubai said that 17 startup companies from India in the space of Artificial Intelligence, Financial Technology of Fintech, Digi Medicine, Health Care Technology, Innovative Technology and Software as Service would take part in this two-day event.

“Startup India’' is the flagship programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and it is the endeavour of India as the third largest eco system in the world leading in tech innovation globally while UAE aims to be the world hub for technology in future,” added Navdeep Suri, Indian Ambassador to UAE, in an interaction with AIR/DD.
