Indian Startups Bait for the Sharks

The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) has given an approval for a show in India similar to the American TV programme Shark Tank. The agenda for initiating this show is to promote startup culture in the country. Talks say that the show is going to be broadcasted on Doordarshan. Like the American Shark Tank, it would have startups pitch to a panel of investors and would have negotiation on the spot.

India is a land of remarkable diversity from ancient traditions to magnificent landscapes. It's created its own niche. The ones that have been to India can't stop raving about it.

You also remember the over-dramatic mothers, the obsession with Bollywood films, the unreal superstitions and the occasional 'Mera Bharat Mahaan' slogans.
