Flipkart’s Ravi Krishnaswamy moves to InMobi as CTO

Krishnaswamy to identify innovative practices

Ravi Krishnaswamy, former senior vice-president of engineering at Flipkart, has been appointed by InMobi as the chief technology officer (CTO). He joins as a replacement of Mohit Saxena, Inmobi co-founder, who continues his services with the company. Saxena has migrated to the US recently.

“His breadth of experience across the mobile industry, the startup ecosystem and his expertise as a technology leader is a successful combination in driving our technology portfolio,” Naveen Tewari, founder of InMobi told ET.

Krishnaswamy led the infrastructure and platforms group at Flipkart. He was also the head of the logistics wing at Flipkart, according to Tewari. Krishnaswamy will be leading InMobi’s technology strategy and innovation agenda supporting the organisation’s technology vision in big-data and artificial intelligence. His profile will include identifying the biggest technical opportunities and risks with innovative practices.

“I’m excited to be part of a team that has been the stuff of folklore, and has been home to India’s biggest tech minds. I am looking forward to taking InMobi’s global tech team into the next sphere of growth and data-driven innovation,” said Krishnaswamy.

Krishnaswamy has more than 20 years of experience in internet domain experience as a strategic technology leader. His skills focused on developing large scale infrastructure and platforms at global organisations like Microsoft.
