Travis Kalanick has been associated with Uber for a long time. Uber’s board remarked that Kalanick had “always put Uber first” and his exit would provide the organisation “room to embrace this new chapter in Uber’s history.” This is what Kalanick had to say, ”I love Uber more than anything in the world and at this difficult moment in my personal life I have personally accepted the investors’ request to step aside so that Uber can go back to building rather than be distracted with another fight.”
